PricePilot ("the app") is a Shopify app that lets a merchant's customers ask to be notified when an out-of-stock product is back, and helps the merchant generate purchase orders to restock it. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it's used.

What we collect

The app reads and stores, per connected store:

• Product and variant data — titles, SKUs, vendor, price, and inventory levels.
• Order line items — the variant, quantity, price, and date of each sale, used to calculate sales velocity for restock recommendations.
• Customer email addresses, only when a shopper voluntarily submits one through the storefront's "Notify me when back in stock" form on an out-of-stock product. This is collected directly by the app's own storefront widget — it never reads Shopify's Customer records or any other customer-identifying data (name, phone, address). An email is used only to send that one shopper a restock notification for the specific variant they asked about, and is never used for marketing, sold, or shared with third parties.

How we use it

Data is used solely to power the app's own features: sending a one-time restock notification to a customer who asked for one, computing sales velocity, and sizing purchase orders. Nothing is used for advertising, sold, or shared with third parties.

Where it's stored

Data is stored in a private database, scoped per store, and accessed only by the app to serve that store's own merchant. It is never shared across stores.

Data retention and deletion

When a merchant uninstalls the app, Shopify notifies us and every record tied to that store — products, orders, waitlist signups, purchase orders, and settings — is permanently deleted. A customer can also ask the merchant to remove their email from a waitlist at any time, and merchants (or customers, via the merchant) can contact us below to request erasure.

Permissions requested

The app requests the following Shopify access scopes, each tied directly to a feature described above:

• read_products — reading catalog data to know which variants are out of stock.
• read_inventory / write_inventory — reading stock levels (to detect a restock) and recording received purchase orders.
• read_orders — computing sales velocity for restock sizing, and matching a waitlist signup to the order it recovered.
